Beem celebrates his heroic victory. (Allsport)
Two police officers in Ayr, Scotland will be having a little chuckle to themselves following Rich Beem's amazing USPGA triumph on Sunday. Three years ago Beem crossed the Atlantic to play in his first Open Championship at Carnoustie. Making the most of his trip to the `home of golf', Beem and caddie Steve Duplantis stopped off at Turnberry where, in some style, they acquainted themselves with the local brew. Staggering out of the pub, Beem and Duplantis climbed into their rental truck and, after an hour of trying to sober up, lost patience and decided to drive home. Unfortunately two of Ayr's finest had followed them out and duly pounced. Beem, who was caught at the wheel, was taken to the local police station and later fined and told not to drive in Scotland for 18 months.

Just ask one simple question of yourself...Is winning still fun? If the answer is no, it's time to go. It's time to get behind Aaron Rodgers. But remember this Packer fans...He's not Brett Favre. We won't see the classic Favre plays, those are immortalized in NFL films. In other words, they are in the past. We will, however, see classic Aaron Rodgers plays. I'm comfortable with that, and another thing we'll also see is more of the Packers backup QB whoever that may be when fall rolls around. I'm ready for it, I have no choice but to be ready for it. Just a little note, the NFL Network is running all Favre all the time tomorrow. Things such as the Super Bowl 31, the Raiders monday night game after Big Irv passed away, and some specials that they just put together lately with a lot of his sound bytes from when NFL Films miked him up on the field.
